Living in the moment
As a meditation specialist, I practice living in the moment. I start each morning by lighting a candle, practicing breathing, watching the sunrise, and grounding myself in the here and now. But as a farmer, I also focus on the future. One of my friends texted me, “What will you be selling in the spring?” As I read the text, a rush of emotions flooded my peaceful mind. I have everything planned out; it just needs to grow. I answered the text: vegetables, fruit, flowers, chicken, rabbit, turkey, goats milk soap, yarn, and more for the summer and fall. It’s interesting how in January, we have hopes, dreams, plans, and work ahead of us; in May, we have products for you. While I’m living in the moment, I’m also preparing for the 2023 harvest.
